Most pianists perform on just one piano per concert. David Greilsammer, known for programming that connects composers from different eras, will use two in his D.C. debut. In addition to a concert grand tuned to standard A-440, Greilsammer will perform a work by John Cage on a prepared piano.
Program includes works by Cage and Scarlatti performed on piano and prepared piano. This program will be performed with no intermission.
“Mr. Greilsammer is a standout musician who has it in him to challenge, inform, and delight audiences ... exquisite.” - The New York Times
