The Children of the Gospel Choir is looking for vibrant young singers to join us for the 2018/19 season!

Washington Performing Arts Children of the Gospel Choir (COTG) is a destination ensemble for D.C.-area students who seek dynamic vocal training and performance experience with renowned faculty and guest artists. COTG has performed at the White House, the Presidential Inaugural prayer services for President Barack Obama, the National Memorial Service for Nelson Mandela, and on NBC’s Today.

Eligible age range: 9-18 years old

AUDITION PROCESS:
Auditions for Children of the Gospel Choir consist of two rounds: a preliminary online screening through Acceptd.com and a secondary in-person audition with COTG faculty.

1) Register for the preliminary online audition. (Select "Children of the Gospel Vocal Auditions" from the pull-down menu on the left. You'll be prompted to sign in or create a free Acceptd.com account.)

2) Using the Acceptd audition portal, submit video recordings of two (2) selections:
         • The Star Spangled Banner (a cappella)
         • A selection chosen from the song list found on the Acceptd audition website

3) Washington Performing Arts staff will notify you of your audition results and, if applicable, will schedule your in-person audition date and time.

4) Perform your in-person audition for Children of the Gospel Choir artistic faculty.
