Anacostia River Festival

Performance Information

NOTE: Due to inclement weather in the forecast, this year's Anacostia River Festival has been rescheduled for its rain date, Saturday, April 20, 1–5pm.

Washington Performing Arts' Mars Urban Arts Initiative is teaming up with Building Bridges Across the River and the 11th Street Bridge Park to host and present the River Fest Stage at the 2019 Anacostia River Festival. The fifth annual Anacostia River Festival is a premier event and the official closing of the 2019 National Cherry Blossom Festival, presented by 11th Street Bridge Park and the National Park Service. For a taste of local D.C., celebrate the Anacostia River and the 100th birthday of Anacostia Park. Experience performances by artists from Southeast D.C.'s local arts scene, ride in the bike parade, get to know community organizations, and enjoy family activities.
