About ArtStream
ArtStream is a non-profit theater company for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDDs). Through ArtStream’s collaborative performance and lifelong learning opportunities, people with intellectual and developmental disabilities gain the skills and confidence to engage with the world. Its magic transforms participants, whose poise and confidence extend into their daily lives. It also transforms the professionals, mentors, and volunteers who work with them, and their audiences, by proving how much people with IDDs can achieve. ArtStream’s Vision is to build an inclusive world where everyone can perform their art out.

ArtStream’s Inclusive Traveling Theater Troupe is made up of 15 actors with IDDs, who create a brand new original musical each year and showcase their original works and extraordinary talents on stages throughout the metro region. ArtStream’s Traveling Troupe performances include dramatic scenes, music, or dance. Past performances have included the National Anthem at Orioles Park, The Kennedy Center’s Page-To-Stage New Play Festival, Shared Horizon’s Dinner Dance of Thanksgiving, and the Takoma Park Performing Arts Series.
