Soundcheck Exclusive: Ballet Folklórico de México Rehearsal Footage
We’re thrilled to share with you this dress rehearsal footage of Ballet Folklórico de México de Amalia Hernández, recorded in Mexico City just for Washington Performing Arts and Home Delivery Plus in November of 2020—the company’s first rehearsal since March of last year. In the words of the opening credits, this footage offers “a rare insight into art within a pandemic.” Please note: The audio and video in this rehearsal footage are of modest, archival quality. The paid-admission event streaming from February 26–March 4, 2021, recorded in 2017 but never before offered online, is a professionally shot and fully produced performance experience in high-quality audio and video, featuring a full orchestra.
