Young Patrons FAQs

Do I get to select my own seats?
Part of the impetus behind this program is to allow space for young arts patrons to meet each other. We do our best to seat all Young Patron Subscription holders in the same section so that you can easily socialize before and after the performance or at intermission. However, if you choose to add additional events to your subscription at full price, you may select your own seats for those events.

At General Admission venues (including Sixth & I), patrons do not receive a seating assignment and select their own seats upon arrival. Please review our website and pre-show emails for further details on when doors open.

What if I want to sit near my friend?
Let us know as soon as you realize both of you have tickets to an event. We will do our best to accommodate your request.

Can I order more than three performances?
Only three (3) performances may be ordered at the three-for-$99 price point. However, additional performances (including events excluded from the subscription) may be added onto your subscription at full price.

I have an accessibility request and/or required accommodation. What do I do?
Please email us at patronservices@washingtonperformingarts.org accommodations such as listening enhancement devices, wheelchair accessibility, and large print programs vary from venue to venue. For specific information, please contact Patron Services at (202) 785-9727.

What if something comes up and I can’t attend one of my selected performances?
No problem. As a subscriber, you may exchange your tickets for another 2023-24 season performance, with advance notice. If you wish to exchange into a premium performance, the value of your tickets will be credited towards the market rate and you simply pay the difference.

When do I get my tickets?
Tickets will be available for pick up under your name at the Washington Performing Arts table at the venue one hour before the advertised performance start time. Please have your photo ID with you to claim your tickets.
