Legendary conjurers of delight and amazement, the great Swiss mask theater troupe Mummenschanz visit D.C. in celebration of their golden anniversary. Co-founded and still led by artistic director Floriana Frassetto, the illustrious “Musicians of Silence” will take their Lisner audience on a journey filled with imagination and visual poetry, revisiting beloved sketches like “The Clay Masks,” “The Toilet Paper Faces,” the air-filled “Giant,” “The Pipe Creature,” and more. Not content to rest on their laurels, the company will also share new forms and characters that extend the tradition of surprise, humor, playfulness, and imagination beloved for five decades by audiences of all ages.
