Located on the southside of the Silver Spring Arts & Entertainment District and housed on the campus of Montgomery College Takoma Park/Silver Spring, The Cultural Arts Center reflects the values of Montgomery College: Empowerment, Enrichment, Radical Inclusion, and Representation (EERR).

The Cultural Arts Center opened its doors in 2009 with a performance by Aretha Franklin. It awakened pride in our center as a place for talent, virtuosity, impact, and resonance.

Accessibility

The Cultural Arts Center features wheelchair-accessible parking, entrances, restrooms, and seating.

Large Print Programs are available from a patron services associate at will-call.

Theatergoers may utilize the free infrared system for the hearing-impaired from any seat during any performance. Receivers are available on a first-come, first-served basis at the Box Office.

Metro Access

Montgomery County Cultural Arts Center is accessible via Metro’s Silver Spring Station (Red Line). Exit the station on East-West Highway. Turn left onto East-West Highway. Then walk 0.6 miles to the Cultural Arts Center. Alternatively, you may transfer to Ride On Bus Route 17 or 18.

Parking

On-site parking at the West Garage is free. Parking at the W1 garage is not advised as it requires proper permitting. Those without permits who park in the W1 garage may be ticketed or towed.
