Mars Arts D.C. Concert Series at Songbyrd
Christie Dashiell
Wednesday, March 4, 2026 / 8:00 p.m.

Grammy-nominated vocalist Christie Dashiell, a proud Howard University Jazz Studies program graduate with elegant phrasing and emotional depth, has captivated audiences nationwide. From her early days with the award-winning a cappella ensemble Afro Blue (as seen on NBC’s The Sing-Off) to solo acclaim on NPR’s Tiny Desk, Christie has become a beacon of contemporary jazz rooted in tradition. Fusing jazz, soul, and R&B, this performance is a celebration of Black excellence, hometown pride, and the power of voice to bridge past and present. Advance reservations will be available in February 2026.
