Enriching Experiences

Enriching Experiences brings concerts and dance performances to senior communities in Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia. This year, we are offering virtual programming as well as accepting requests for in-person performances.

Please note: all Washington Performing Arts Artists are fully vaccinated and will make best efforts to accommodate any COVID-19-related procedures required by your community. There will be an opportunity for you to share these requirements in the performance request form.

What to expect:
We want to provide programming in whichever way is best for your community, so are offering the following options:

  1. A virtual pre-recorded performance: This consists of a 15-30 minute pre-recorded video by a Washington Performing Arts Teaching Artist shared with you through a private YouTube link.
  2. In-person performance: This is a 30-45 minute live in-person performance which takes place on-site in your community’s preferred performance space.

Who are the artists?
You can see which artists are available by looking through our artist roster. You will be able to request your top three artists when you sign up. Washington Performing Arts staff will do their best to pair you with one of your top three artists, based on artist availability.

How to schedule a performance:

  1. Fill out the performance request form. (For organizations that do not have the capacity to pay for a performance, a limited number of free performances are available on a first-come first-served basis.)
  2. After Washington Performing Arts receives your request for a performance, staff will confirm if we can fulfill your request within two weeks of receiving it.
  3. If a live-stream or in-person performance, WPA staff will connect you to your assigned artist so that you may communicate directly to determine further details about the performance. We will also send an agreement form for you to sign. If a pre-recorded performance, WPA staff will share a private YouTube link to the video.
