This fall, Washington Performing Arts and Tregaron Conservancy invite you to wander, listen, move, and discover during Tregaron Unplugged. Throughout the afternoon, music and participatory experiences will unfold across the Conservancy’s terraces, lawns, meadows, and pathways. Follow the sound of a flute, join a West African drumming and dance experience, settle into jazz grooves, slow down with yoga and a sound bath. Choose your own pathway and discover a new musical experience throughout the conservancy grounds.
As you explore the grounds, stop by local vendors and community partners offering food, goods, and opportunities to connect with organizations from across the region.

Shipman Terrace
Johnny Walker Jr.: Jazz
1:00–3:00 p.m.
Enjoy an afternoon of jazz with Johnny Walker Jr. and his quartet on Shipman Terrace. Set against the surrounding gardens and landscape, the performance offers an intimate place to settle in, listen, and enjoy the afternoon.
South Lawn
Deepak Ram Trio: Hindustani Music
1:00–3:00 p.m.
Flutist Deepak Ram brings the expressive sounds of Hindustani music to the South Lawn. Let the music lead you into the landscape as you experience an afternoon performance surrounded by the natural beauty of Tregaron.

Chromic — Shimmers in the Field
1:00–3:00 p.m.
A Site-Specific Sound Experience
Debuting at this year’s Tregaron Unplugged is a new soundwalk experience app, Shimmers in the Field, by Chromic, inspired by the serenity of Tregaron Conservancy. A GPS-enabled, immersive work, “Shimmers in the Field” blends storytelling with the sounds of toy piano to encourage contemplation about connection, wonder, and legacy.
The work launches at Tregaron Unplugged on October 17, when guides will lead guests through the experience every 30 minutes. The soundwalk will also be available for visitors to explore independently for the year following Tregaron Unplugged. Additional details on the app coming in October 2026.

East Meadow
Sadie Kane: Acoustic Tunes
1:00–1:30 p.m.
Sadie Kane is a singer-songwriter based in Washington, D.C. Sadie delivers a pop-inspired energy to confessional-style songwriting. Exploring themes of queer love, nostalgia, and introspection, Sadie’s dynamic vocals, evocative lyricism, and Oklahoma roots create a unique musical perspective.
Dante Bank: Yoga & Sound Bath
1:30–3:00 p.m.
Take a breath. Slow down. Listen.
Join Dante Bank for an outdoor yoga and sound bath experience on the East Meadow. Surrounded by Tregaron’s landscape, the session brings together movement, sound, and stillness for a chance to pause and reconnect with yourself and your surroundings.
North Meadow
Ni Dembaya: West African Drumming & Dance
1:00–3:00 p.m.
Come ready to move!
Ni Dembaya brings the rhythms and energy of West African drumming and dance to the North Meadow in an interactive experience for audiences of all ages.
Listen, learn, dance, and join the rhythm as the meadow becomes a space for celebration and connection.

Celebrating 20 + 60
This year’s Tregaron Unplugged is part of a milestone year for both organizations. Tregaron Conservancy is celebrating 20 years, and Washington Performing Arts is celebrating 60 years. Together, we are marking these anniversaries by creating something that reflects our shared belief in the power of the arts to bring people together—in concert halls and, just as importantly, in the places where people live, gather, explore, and connect.
