What if a concert didn’t have a stage?
This fall, Washington Performing Arts and Tregaron Conservancy invite you to wander, listen, move, and discover during Tregaron Unplugged.
Throughout the afternoon, music and participatory experiences will unfold across the Conservancy’s terraces, lawns, meadows, and pathways. Follow the sound of a flute. Settle into an afternoon of jazz. Join a West African drumming and dance experience. Slow down with yoga and a sound bath. Or discover a new musical experience as you make your way through the grounds.
There is no single place to be—and no single way to experience the afternoon.

Shipman Terrace
Johnny Walker: Jazz
1:00–3:00 p.m.
Enjoy an afternoon of jazz with Johnny Walker and his quartet on Shipman Terrace. Set against the surrounding gardens and landscape, the performance offers an intimate place to settle in, listen, and enjoy the afternoon.
South Lawn
Deepak Ram Trio: Hindustani Music
1:00–3:00 p.m.
Flutist Deepak Ram brings the expressive sounds of Hindustani music to the South Lawn. Let the music lead you into the landscape as you experience an afternoon performance surrounded by the natural beauty of Tregaron.

Chromic Duo — Ferry Stop

A Site-Specific Sound Experience
What does Tregaron sound like? Find out through Ferry Stop, a new site-specific sound and musical experience created by Chromic Duo and co-commissioned by Tregaron Conservancy and Washington Performing Arts to celebrate the organizations’ 20th and 60th anniversaries.
Ferry Stop invites you to experience Tregaron through sound, turning the landscape itself into part of the work. Rather than watching from a single location, visitors will discover the experience as they move through the grounds.
The work launches at Tregaron Unplugged on October 17 and will remain available throughout the fall.

East Meadow
Sadie Kane: Acoustic Tunes
1:00–1:30 p.m.
Sadie Kane is a singer-songwriter based in Washington, D.C. Sadie delivers a pop-inspired energy to confessional-style songwriting. Exploring themes of queer love, nostalgia, and introspection, Sadie’s dynamic vocals, evocative lyricism, and Oklahoma roots create a unique musical perspective.
Dante Bank: Yoga & Sound Bath
1:30–3:00 p.m.
Take a breath. Slow down. Listen.
Join Dante Bank for an outdoor yoga and sound bath experience on the East Meadow. Surrounded by Tregaron’s landscape, the session brings together movement, sound, and stillness for a chance to pause and reconnect with yourself and your surroundings.
North Meadow
Ni Dembaya: West African Drumming & Dance
1:00–3:00 p.m.
Come ready to move!
Ni Dembaya brings the rhythms and energy of West African drumming and dance to the North Meadow in an interactive experience for audiences of all ages.
Listen, learn, dance, and join the rhythm as the meadow becomes a space for celebration and connection.

Celebrating 20 + 60
This year’s Tregaron Unplugged is part of a milestone year for both organizations. Tregaron Conservancy is celebrating 20 years, and Washington Performing Arts is celebrating 60 years. Together, we are marking these anniversaries by creating something that reflects our shared belief in the power of the arts to bring people together—in concert halls and, just as importantly, in the places where people live, gather, explore, and connect.
