Critically acclaimed, gender-fluid drag queen, visual artist, speaker, illustrator, and newly minted author Sasha Velour brings an immersive evening of drag, storytelling, and live art to Sixth & I in celebration of her forthcoming book The Big Reveal: An Illustrated Manifesto of Drag (Harper Books, 2023). The book documents the histories and controversies surrounding drag alongside Velour’s own personal story. This exclusive live show on the eve of Capital Pride 2023 includes dazzling performances by Sasha, and an intimate conversation with a special guest Junior Mintt, who also will perform. Event includes a moderated audience Q&A. A book signing event follows the performance and is open to all ticketholders. VIP tickets (sold out) include a pre-show meet-and-greet with Sasha.
Performance is 90 minutes, no intermission.
This performance is presented in partnership with Capital Pride.
